Today, I chose to take TTC to the campus. I found that TTC’s bus design is very accessible. When a disabled person or an elderly person in a wheelchair needs to get on the bus, the driver will let others get on the bus first, then lower the chassis of the bus. The height of the chassis will eventually be the same as the sidewalk so that the wheelchair can be pushed directly onto the car. Also, elder people with crutches don’t need to get on the bus like climbing stairs.

If there is no sidewalk, TTC’s bus also has an extended board for wheelchairs. There is also a bicycle rack in front of the bus so that students who ride can take the bus.
