Today I decided to go shopping online. When I entered the Zara webpage, I was shocked by the concept of the homepage. Although I would like to say that this designer’s idea has a very large accessibility problem, I still carefully browsed the entire homepage with curiosity.
Zara’s logo uses very strange overlapping fonts, and the words on the home page all use a very deep blue color, which makes the background’s dark red color not comparable to those fonts – I can’t see the word “search” at all. In addition, the login and contact in the upper right corner are completely invisible due to the smaller font size. I really don’t know why the design of the web page will choose this strange font and color. The headline in the middle of the web page called “SS 19 NEW CAMPAIGN, COMING SOON” is completely covered by the red background, when I look at this line, I can feel the sting of my eyes. This will undoubtedly make more people avoid this web page. At the same time, I feel that the accessibility of this webpage is really low and the customer does not know where to find what he wants to search. The idea that the background image covers the navigation bar is completely wrong. This will give people a visual impact. The color discord and the problem of typesetting and conceiving have become a big issue with the low accessibility of this webpage. You will have the same idea as me if you saw the screenshot below and I’m so sure that you’ll think that this is a really badly designed web page.
